Princesse Amandine®: new potato concept

French potato producers Pom'Alliance, Pomuni, Terre de France, Trois Laboureurs and Touquet Savour have teamed up, introducing a unique brand concept to German trade: 'Princesse Amandine®'. This potato will enter the market in Germany in November 2014, German website food-monitor.de reports.

The potato brand Princesse Amandine® incorporates the best qualities of the waxy Amandine potato: a light and impeccable exterior, a fine skin that's suitable to eat, and a light, buttery flavour.

In France, the potato is already very successful, selling 40,000 tonnes and has achieved a doubling in sales within five years. In the waxy potato range, it has a market share of 20 percent. More than enough reason to introduce the brand concept in other European countries as well.

Potatoes of the Princesse Amandine® brand are available year-round.
