Spanish supply rarely disturbs German tomato market
The weather has been quite favourable for German production. Although now lacking sufficient hours of light, the season is still high from the intensity of light. The firmer prices from last week were holding until now. Imports from the Iberian Peninsula are hardly disturbing the market here. Only very rarely do the first volume of Spanish vine tomatoes find a place in the supermarkets. The Dutch and German supply still dominate the market in most cases. A limited quantity of Spanish vine tomatoes will be expected next week.
