Dutch cherry tomatoes cost twice as much as the Spanish ones

The average price of the cherry tomatoes from the Netherlands in the London market at week 42 (October 13 to 19) practically doubled the price of Spanish cherry tomatoes, according to data from the Inspection Service, Certification and Technical Assistance of Foreign Trade, which is part of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and that was provided by Andalusia's Ministry of Agriculture. 

The Spanish cherry tomato was sold in that week at an average price of 2.75 euro per kilo, while the Dutch one was traded at 4.15 euro per kilo. Moroccan cherry tomatoes were also sold at a higher price than those from Spain, with an average price of 3.03 euro per kilo. 

However, the Spanish long shelf life cherry tomato variety was traded at 1.23 euro, a price that is higher than the € 1.13 per kilo obtained by the Dutch long shelf life cherry tomato.
 
Meanwhile, the Italian cherry tomato was sold at 3.59 euro per kilo, while the French one was traded at 3.17 euro per kilo. 

Pepper 
The price of Spanish peppers at the London market was 1.31 euro per kilo while the one from the Netherlands was sold at 1.34 euro. Spanish peppers were sold at € 1.15 per kilo in Lyon, 1.20 euro in Milan and Paris, 1.03 euro in Perpignan, and 1.18 euro in Toulouse. 

Cucumber 
Spanish cucumbers were sold for 0.98 euro/kilo in Paris, 0.81 in Perpignan, and 1.55 euro per kilo in Toulouse. 

Eggplant 
During week 42, Spanish eggplants were sold for 1.27 euro per kilo in London, while the Dutch eggplant was sold for 1.52 euro per kilo. The Spanish eggplant was sold for 1.20 euro per kilo in Toulouse, € 1.15 per kilo in Lyon, 0.68 in Milan 0.68 to €1.45 in Paris, and €0.78 in Perpignan. 

Zucchini 
The Spanish zucchini quoted at 1.56 euro per kilo in London, €1.71 in Lyon, €1.60 in Paris, €1.33 in Perpignan and €1.80 in Toulouse. 

In the London's market the French zucchini was sold for 1.37 euro per kilo, while the Italian zucchini was sold for €1.64 and that from the UK was sold at 1.78 euro per kilo.
