France: Courgette and potato prices decrease, cucumbers and bananas increase

According to Relaxnews, the price per kilo of courgettes has decreased by 12% to €2.35, yet is still higher than last year (€1.64/kg).

Cucumber prices have also increased to €1.21/a piece as have bananas to €1.64/kilo.

Granny Smith apples are 11% cheaper at €1.32/kilo and potatoes are 10% less as €0.84/kilo.

The Relaxnews price barometer is made every Wednesday using information from the Market News Service, under the Ministry of Agriculture. Every week 20 or so SNM employees record the retail prices of 150 products (fruit, vegetable, meat, fish…) in 150 medium and large supermarkets all over France (a representative sample of household consumption in France, conducted by Sofres).
