real,- bets on regionality, freshness and variety

The 2013/14 fiscal year stood out for the German hypermarket real,- with all its renovations. Behind this is the goal to bring the company back to a place of sustainable, ongoing success, reports the German website Fruchthandel.de.

Therefore, already in the second quarter of the year 30 branches in Germany were being converted according to the new store concept. This new concept was introduced first in Essen in October 2013. In the last three months 20 more real supermarkets have been renovated. The goal was to finish the renovations in these supermarkets before Christmas so the company could have a solid start in the new fiscal year. "We have managed to increase customer value in the renovated stores and thereby improve our competitive position. With a better assortment structure, advantageous prices and an improved sphere in the stores, we have created the basis for a successful future. We attach particular value to regionality, freshness and variety. In the future we will continue to work on these values," says Didier Fleury, CEO of real,-.

Next year, 100 more stores will be modernized. The renovation for the first 35 stores will already be closed before Easter 2015.
