Chinese investors interested in Breton agri-food sites

Chinese investors are interested in agri-food industrial establishments in Brittany. If there is one region that is particularly effected by the crisis, it is Brittany. Poultry, pork, fruit, vegetables… almost no agri-food sector has been spared. According to Le Télégramme, Chinese representatives came to survey the land in Brittany.

At the start of October a group of Chinese entrepreneurs explored Brittany, where they plan to invest hundreds of millions of Euro into the agri-food sector. The sites in question are those up for sale, as well as those that could be saved.

The Chinese-Breton collaboration began in January 2014 with a milk factory in Carhoix (costing Chinese investors the sum of about €100 million).
