Standard Import Value used for Moroccan tomatoes

The Moroccan season is just starting, some volumes are already on the European market but the season will really begin over the next few days. As well as the extra 28,000 tons that will be added to the 249,000 tons this season, the customs clearance is also changing. As of the 1/10/2014, imports of goods imported on consignment from third countries must use the deductive method of Standard Import Value and not the deductive consignment method, “sales accounts”. The calculation has been modified for Moroccan tomatoes which is now calculated on a weighted average over all segments, notably the small segment.
