Bonduelle : “the Coca-Cola of vegetables” in Russia

The world’s leader in ready to eat vegetables is doing well. Their sales are increasing, notably in the East and in Russia where according to Christophe Bonduelle, they are “the Coca-Cola of vegetables”.

Bonduelle had to pay a large fine which meant they saw their profits plummet 70% to €15 million. The European Commission fined them €30 million for illicit agreements on the mushroom market.

The Bonduelle group (who also own Cassegrain) are doing well. Sales abroad are strongly increasing, in particularly in Russia. “Russians consume more Bonduelle vegetables than the French” explains Christophe Bonduelle.
