Gala apple and white grape prices decrease in France, potatoes and plums increase

According to Relaxnews, the price per kilo of Gala apples which are in full season have dropped by 18% to €1.46, a lot lower than in 2013. White grapes have also seen a price decrease, dropping -15% to €1.49/kilo.
Potato prices have seen the biggest increase, up 8% to €0.54/kilo. The same increase can be seen for Reine Claude plum’s which reach €2.78/kilo. 
 
The Relaxnews price barometer is made every Wednesday using information from the Market News Service, under the Ministry of Agriculture. Every week 20 or so SNM employees record the retail prices of 150 products (fruit, vegetable, meat, fish…) in 150 medium and large supermarkets all over France (a representative sample of household consumption in France, conducted by Sofres).
