Marco presented with Queen’s Enterprise Award

On Monday 15th September 2014, Marco were proud to welcome The Viscount De L’Isle MBE, Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Kent to officially present their prestigious Queen’s Enterprise Award for Outstanding Performance in International Trade at Marco’s headquarters in Edenbridge, Kent.

Following the formal introductions at the champagne reception, the Lord Lieutenant was given a brief overview of the company’s hardware and software capabilities for improving productivity. During the official presentation of the crystal rose bowl and certificate to Marco’s co-founder Murray Hilborne, the Lord Lieutenant praised the company for their achievement.

The special occasion gave Marco’s staff time to relax and enjoy the occasion in the presence of guests and members of the press. In a short speech following the presentation, Murray thanked the Lord Lieutenant and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant:

“Today is a fitting reward for the Marco team, who have worked extremely hard to develop our international business over the past five years. To be one of only three companies in Kent to achieve this prestigious award is a great honour. We have exciting plans for the future and are looking forward to developing new international market areas.”
