NERGI® in stores and connecting with its fans

September is the month that the NERGI® kiwi berry takes pride of place among the other fruit berries in stores, alongside raspberries, blackcurrants and blueberries.

The soft fruit category is booming, with consumers in search of authentic products that are good, healthy and easy to eat and share with friends. NERGI® provides the perfect match for these new market expectations.

To get out there and make contact with consumers, sustained in-store events and a tasting campaign is to be rolled out in partnership with supermarkets and hypermarkets in France, Germany...and possibly beyond.

“Once consumers have tasted NERGI®, 87% of them buy it”, declares Jean Pierre Caruel, NERGI® Marketing Manager. The emphasis is also on digital interaction between consumers and NERGI®.

“NERGI® is targeting consumers who are into social networks. Our Facebook page is an excellent opportunity to promote the product’s qualities, show videos and exchange comments with our fans. We have opted for a touch of humour and the fans love it!” says Jean Pierre Caruel.

NERGI® is mainly grown in South-West France using sustainable farming techniques. NERGI® is no larger than a grape with smooth, fine, edible skin and flesh that is similar to that of green kiwi fruit, sweet and slightly tangy. NERGI® reveals all its sweetness and flavour after spending some time in a ripening chamber and should be savoured once it is tender to the touch.

As well as being delicious and convenient, NERGI® is particularly well suited for snacking. NERGI® is rich in vitamin C, a good source of fibre and contains minerals and trace elements.

NERGI® is available in stores from September through to November and is sold in 125g punnets.
