'An invitation to innovation':

UK: British Tomato Growers' association conference 2014

A record number of delegates have accepted the Invitation to Innovation at this year’s British Tomato Conference, don’t miss your opportunity to join them.

Moving to our new venue, the Chesford Grange Hotel and Conference Centre, centrally located close to Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire, the event is bigger and better than ever with world-class speakers including the Waitrose Head of Agronomy, Alan Wilson, NFU Vice President Guy Smith through to Linking Environment and Farming (LEAF) Chief Executive Caroline Drummond MBE.
The main event is preceded on the afternoon of Wednesday the 24th September with a seminar on ‘Smart Energy Trading’ presented by experts from the Farm Energy Centre (FEC), before the infamous conference dinner with guest speaker Caroline Drummond MBE, Chief Executive of LEAF followed by a full day of speakers and networking opportunities on Thursday 25th September.

This year, there’s a record number of trade stands around the conference venue and proceedings are punctuated by a number of networking breaks to talk, meet and get the most from this unique, once a year opportunity to make sure you and your company are up to date with current developments in the industry.

Ever with an eye on the future there will also be a chance to meet the next generation of researcher’s with an informative range of short presentations and poster sessions from aspiring horticultural students.

Whether attending for the seminars, dinner, just to network or joining us for the whole conference, this is the only UK event that brings the whole protected crops supply chain together, from growers to researchers, retailers and suppliers. More than ever before, definitely one not to miss!.
