28 firefighters turned out for burnt onions

In an apartment in Austrian Rum, a pan with onions on a stove caused significant heat and smoke development on Thursday, around 6 pm. The resident was able to remove the pan from the stove in time to take it to the balcony, Austrian website meinbezirk.at reports.

However, Rum's volunteer fire department had already turned out with no less than 5 vehicles and 28 fire fighters to extinguish the fire. On arrival, this turned out to be unnecessary, and just airing out the stairwell was sufficient. Nobody was injured.
