Adelita frambuenissima®, available all year round
Adelita, the raspberry developed and registered by Planasa, differs from other varieties because of its large size and ability to produce at different times of the year.
This variety's cultivation has quadrupled in a single campaign. Its splendid production results and quality have earned this raspberry, presented by Planasa in 2011, a place of honour amongst growers.
Adelita is characterised by a large size and high productive potential, which makes it possible for the variety to be available all year round; a feature that makes it unique compared to other varieties in the market. It also has an attractive shape and colour and slightly acidic sweet flavour. It is not surprisingly known under the name of frambuenissima® (roughly translated as "very tasty raspberry").
There are currently over 1,000 hectares of Adelita spread around the world. The variety is cultivated by selected growers in Mexico, Spain, Morocco, California, France, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy and Germany. And it can only be obtained through exclusive dealers in order to preserve its quality from the moment it is planted until it reaches the final consumer.
Planasa has spent a decade investing in a thorough R&D programme for raspberries. It also works with blueberries, blackberries and of course, strawberries; a comprehensive range of berries adapted to different climatic zones and tastes worldwide.
Planasa will exhibit its range and developments at Fruit Attraction, from 15 to 17 October in Madrid, Hall 3 - stand 3C03.
