180 different tomato varieties in Brandenburg

They are thick and plump or as small as marbles: vegetable grower Benedicta von Branca grows 180 different varieties of tomatoes in the German city of Bornow (state of Brandenburg), reports the German website Proplanta.de. They are called 'Stierherz', 'Wuzzi' or 'Black Altai' and they have a red, green or even black colour.

Her customers call her (von Branca) the tomato woman: every few days she sells her vegetables at the weekly markets in Berlin. The tomatoes do not need a lot to grow says Branca. With patience, a little water and fertilization they grow in the sandy ground in Brandenburg.
