7th annual “Fruit & Vegetable Business of Russia

The “Fruit & Vegetable Business of Russia – 2014” conference is to be held in conjunction with WorldFood Moscow 2014, the largest food exhibition in the Russian Federation, which makes the conference as informative as possible. The exhibition and the conference are annually attended by leaders of the fruit, berry and vegetable business sectors.

For the first time ever, the conference will include a round table discussion with Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian veterinary and phytosanitary watchdog) officers, to be held specially for the conference delegates. An hour-long discussion will focus on phytosanitary and quarantine requirements to fruit and vegetable shipments to Russia, relevant regulations and most frequent violations. The discussion will be held in an open format as close to a question-answer scheme as possible.

On September 17, all registered conference participants will be able to take part in a business-tour to Ozery CJSC, one of the leading agricultural enterprises in the Russian Federation, a part of Malino OJSC Group of Companies.

Among the key topics discussed at the event there will be:

changes in Russian import geography connected with sanctions and bans;
Russian fruit and vegetable production and price forecast;
the markets for potatoes, vegetable seeds, greenhouse vegetables, apples, mushrooms in Russia;
fruit and vegetable handling, storage and processing technologies;
fresh produce logistics in the Russian Federation;
branding, promotion and the consumer market in Russia.

The business-tour will be focused on:

table varieties of potatoes and cultivars used for crisps grown in Ozery CJSC;
machinery used for harvesting vegetables;
storehouse for potatoes and vegetables;
produce handling line;
the company's logistics centre..
