Mexico: Value of lime export clearly higher in the first six months

Mexico has exported 180.5 million American dollars (around 135.2 million Euro) worth of limes to the international markets in the first six months of this year. That is 27% more than in the same period last year, reports freshfruitportal.com.

According to their information the total export amount was more than 193,000 tonnes. Mexican limes were exported to 17 countries, in which in Europe the Netherlands, France, Spain, Great Britain and Poland were the main buyers. The export towards France showed the largest growth with an increase of 104% in value. The Dutch market imported 77% more limes in value from Mexico as the largest buyer besides the US.
