BLE market report week 32

German apple market not satisfying

There was already a lot of European harvest of apples on the wholesale markets in Germany in week 32. This was reported by BLE. Of the first of the new harvest were the domestic Boskoop, Gravenstein, Alcmene, Gala and Jamba were present. Gala and Jerseumac, Elstar and Ozark Gold came from France. Delbarefestivale, Elstar, Summered and Golden Delicious were also available from Germany and Italy. There was also old harvest, mainly Jonagold and Jonagored. Due to the large supply the prices were decreasing. There was also import from overseas. New Zealand with Braeburn, Chile with Royal Gala and South Africa with Golden Delicious. Prices were not satisfying. Even a perfect quality was sold for a low price.
