overview of average wholesale market prices for BLE

Germany: highest pear price for Forelle

BLE gives average prices for fruit and vegetables being sold on the German wholesale markets every week. A short overview of week 32 in this piece. 

Apples
The Gala and Royal Gala stood out in apples, up to 1.70 Euro per kilo was paid for them. Jazz from New Zealand received the highest price, up to 1.98 per kilo. It was followed closely by Pink Lady with an average price of 1.95 per kilo. 

Pears 
The highest price for pears was for Forelle from South Africa and Santa Maria from Turkey, 1.98 and 1.96 per kilo respectively.

Table grapes

Spanish Flame seedless made the highest price in grapes: 3.50 per kilo. The Crimson Seedless, also from Spain, cost 3.26 per kilo on average.

Nectarines

The nectarine prices varied from 85 cents to 2.40 per kilo. 85 cents for yellow fleshed ones from Italy and the highest price for the yellow fleshed from France.

Tomatoes

Cherry tomatoes from Germany did the best in the tomato segment: 3.03 Euro per kilo. This was followed by the cherry tomatoes from the Netherlands at 2.45 per kilo. Least was paid for the Belgian vines: 60 cents per kilo.
