Swiss foreign trade increased during the first six months of 2014 in both directions, Swiss website Swisscofel.ch reports. While export increased by 2.7%, import increased by 1.0%. The three largest export industries played an important part in the export growth. The balance of trade showed a new record regarding the positive balance of 13.8 billion Swiss francs. This was 1.8 billion Swiss francs higher than last year.
