Black grape prices drop in France whilst organic tomatoes increase

According to the Relaxnews price barometer, the price per kilo of black grapes has dropped 15% this week, down to €3.39/kilo.

Price per kilo of organic tomatoes has increased by 7% to €4.65. Yellow peaches have had the same increase reaching €2.43/kilo. Cauliflower prices have increased by 6% to €2.37/a piece.

The price of large calibre Charente melons has dropped by 11% to €1.34/a piece. The Relaxnews price barometer is made every Wednesday using information from the Market News Service, under the Ministry of Agriculture. Every week 20 or so SNM employees record the retail prices of 150 products (fruit, vegetable, meat, fish…) in 150 medium and large supermarkets all over France (a representative sample of household consumption in France, conducted by Sofres).
