Over 47 tonnes of South African oranges are detained in quarantine at Saint-Petersburg port, - the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service reported on Monday.

‘It is determined that a Phytosanitary Certificate was issued after the load had left the exporting country’ – the experts explained.

It is noted that due to the detected violations, both supplier and buyer are administratively liable. The fate of the oranges is left unrevealed.
