Paimpol bean fair in Brittany

The season has already begun and the offer will increase. As always, every two years in August, a whole region will celebrate the renowned Paimpol beans. Organised by Prince de Bretagne’s producers from the Union of cooperatives in Paimpol and Tréguier, the event attracts about 10,000 people each time. It is the first bean in France to have achieved a PGI in 1998.
Shows, tastings, meetings with producers and bean shelling competitions will be organised on the 24th August. It is also the occasion for Prince de Bretagne’s producers to meet their clients, hear their expectations and remind them of all of the qualities of this particular vegetable that is produced by 270 producers in a 1,000 ha area regrouping 84 communes. Prince de Bretagne currently commercialises 6,000 tons of Paimpol beans annually.
