French grape season high in quality and quantity

French table grape season started in July when the first Prima and then Cardinal grapes were harvested in the South East of France. The offer will become abundant with open field Prima’s. The first lot is expected in week 30. Harvest of Muscat and Lival grapes from greenhouse productions will add to the quantity too. The season will also begin for the white varieties with the first greenhouse Ora grapes. The first lot of open field Muscat’s should be harvested around the 20th August in the South East. The first volumes of Chasselas are expected over September in the South West. Potential is high in both regions, after a 2012 season that lacked 30% of volume. Climate conditions were excellent and quality should be high.
