Waitrose wins Brammy Award

Waitrose celebrated at The Brammy Awards yesterday having been awarded Best Bramley Retailer.

Jocelyn Clarke, Waitrose Buying Manager Fruit, and Greg Sehringer, Waitrose Top Fruit Buyer, received the award from Adrian Barlow of English Apples and Pears Ltd.



Waitrose were recognised for:
• The sales achieved
• The Waitrose Brilliantly British campaign featuring Bramley
• Innovative marketing & promoting of Bramley apples
• Supporting the Bramley Recipe campaign earlier in the year
• The range of products sold which feature Bramley in the ingredients.

For the first time in the awards 25 year history, the judges decided to jointly award Waitrose & Sainsbury with the same accolade.

As lead top fruit supplier, Fruition nominated Waitrose for the award. Rik Connor, Waitrose Business Unit Manager for Fruition was delighted that Waitrose won the deserved award for their commitment to British Top Fruit, and would like to congratulate Waitrose.
