High season for Prince de Bretagne fresh peas

In the Breton coastal region, conditions are ideal for the cultivation of peas: no heat, lots of water and plenty of sunlight. The 'Prince de Bretagne' peas are produced here, with the production volume spread out over the season amounting to around 300 tonnes.

At the moment, the harvest is in full swing, and a large harvest yield is expected in the next two or three weeks. The Prince de Bretagne peas are harvested by hand, and the growers spread out the sowing of their seed in such a way that delicious, tender peas can be supplied until the end of August.
