French supermarkets support local produce

Supermarkets in Perpignan are carrying out a sales operation to support Catalan production. Producers in the Pyrénées-Orientales can now count on support from certain large retailers.

Priority is given to peaches, nectarines and apricots produced in the department! This operation should please the local producers who were furious about the Spanish competition.

The supermarket's clients are playing along and are buying local produce - the aim is now to incite tourists to do the same.

Harvest was good this year, all that remains is for the Catalan production to be sold.
