Peru sends billions of asparagus to Madrid every year. Iberia imports five million kilos of asparagus every year to distribute them in the domestic and European markets.

The transport of perishable goods represents 29% of all the products that Iberia carries in their storage section. This percentage increases to 63% if we only take into account the flights that connect America with Spain and decreases to 11% if the exports depart from Spain to America.

The speed of operation is essential so that the food doesn't lose its freshness. In many cases, the product goes from the fields to the table in less than 48 hours.
