The Flavour of Frigadon a sweet success

Alan Colbourne CEO of the Frigadon Group which embraces both Frigadon AB, Sweden and SRS Frigadon UK welcomed visitors for this 3 day event which was supported by major suppliers to the company.

Alan Colbourne said, “We were extremely pleased to have the support of Bitzer, Grundfos, AIA, HYCOOL, Georg Fischer and Kylma for our ‘Open Days’ Event’ where each company gave an informative presentation to our visiting customers supporting our Secondary Refrigerant System technique of engineering.”

Alan Colbourne making a handshake agreement with Theodore Viontzos and Heracles Reizopoulos of Cool-Fresh Refrigeration, Greece to become the Frigadon distributors for the complete range of products and HYCOOL heat transfer fluids. Their aim is to develop their business within the fruit and vegetable growing industries throughout the Hellenic region.

Visitors came to the factory from around the world with Bjorn Skattberg, MD of Frigadon AB, commenting, “We had current and prospective customers from Sweden, Denmark, the UK, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA through the doors and have since received extremely positive feedback about the Frigadon open week and the equipment that we produce.”

Visitors were able to see SRS-Frigadon hydrocarbon chillers at various stages of production, from design drawings to finished chillers in the Test Centre department, as well as newly developed Frigadon OEM products for industry.

In addition to the seminars visitors were given a tour of the factory after the Frigadon BBQ lunch each day.

In recognition of the recent F-Gas Regulations, clients were very keen to receive the hydrocarbon presentation given by Daniel Colbourne. The use of hydrocarbon natural refrigerants and HYCOOL heat transfer fluids, having zero CO2 emissions ensuring neutral climatic impact coupled to the benefits of reduced energy consumption, were high on the agenda.

In conclusion, clients realising the uncertainties relating to both new and old refrigerant gases and their effects on both compressors and the environment, recognised that the choice of hydrocarbon primary refrigerants was without doubt a viable means of future proofing their forthcoming developments.
