Biggest international logistics conference to be held in Latin America 2016

The International Logistics and Material Handling Fair (SIL), organized by the Consortium of Barcelona's Free Trade Zone and Latin America's Federation of National Freight and International Logistics Operators Associations (ALACAT), based in Bogotá (Colombia), have announced that the 32nd edition of the ALACAT Congress will be held within the framework of SIL 2016.

It is the sector's biggest congress to be held in Latin America and its celebration in Barcelona in 2016 will help build bridges for business and knowledge exchange with the Spanish and European logistics sector. The signing of the agreement was attended by the special representative of the State in the Consortium of Barcelona's Free Trade Zone, Jordi Cornet; the President of the International Logistics and Material Handling, Enrique Lacalle; the vice president of ALACAT, Guillermo González Larsen, and Miguel Angel Espinosa, executive president of the Colombian Federation of International Trade Logistics Agents (FITAC), active partner of ALACAT.

The President of the SIL, Enrique Lacalle, expressed his satisfaction with this important agreement and said "the SIL is the best possible scenario for Spain and Europe to hold a congress as prestigious as ALACAT, where important business synergies and collaboration between European logistics and Latin America will take place. "

Lacalle stated that, "the SIL is the largest international logistics conference in Europe and in 2016 we will add to it Latin America's largest international congress."
