With Cota 120, UNICA Group adds field-grown leafy vegetables to its already extensive portfolio, with products such as lettuce, cauliflower, celery, broccoli and artichoke, and will be able to expand the melon (green, yellow, Galia and Cantaloupe) and watermelon campaign.
According to the president of COTA 120, Juan Marín, "we have chosen to adopt UNICA Group's model, as it will allow us from the outset to participate in the group's management, with complete transparency in all operations, to access economies of scale due to the group's size in terms of purchases and to have access to the group's technology and logistics, improving our financial position by accessing a powerful sales network." Meanwhile, José Martínez Porter, president of UNICA Group, states that "from the beginning there has been a good chemistry between the management teams of COTA 120 and UNICA, and synergies have been found that we will now attempt to develop."
