Peru: Neptunia grew 28% in last mango and grape campaign

During the grape and mango campaigns, which took place between October 2013 and April this year, the port operations and logistics company, Neptunia, grew by 28% over the same period last year.

A total of 5,180 containers of grapes were exported through the port of Paita, 58% more than in the previous season. Meanwhile, 5,851 containers were exported during the mango season, 16% more than in the previous season.

Both campaigns represent 25% of the annual volumes exported through the port of Paita, and 60% of the fresh produce exported through the port.

These results were achieved because of Neptunia's bet to provide a service with greater specialization in agricultural exports and the infrastructure for integrated logistics operations.

Michel Macara-Chvili, general manager of the company, said: "Neptunia's business model focuses on the exporting customer, so we look to innovate processes and generate highly specialized services based on the needs and requirements of our customers."
