Joint venture creates largest retailer in France for organic produce

Compagnie Biodiversité, the main holding company of organic produce specialist, Léa Nature has just taken control over Ekibio, who commercialise organic produce from the Ardeche region. Léa Nature have held 33% of Ekibio since 2011 and now own 70% of it's capital.

This joint venture creates a group with over 1,000 employees spread over their 10 or so production sites with a €200 million turnover. The new group offers over 3,500 products making them the largest retailer of organic produce.
