Germany is the largest purchaser of Spanish Honeydew and watermelons, as reported by the German website Fruchthandel.de. Of the five countries where Spain exported the most melons in 2013, Germany, with 205.49 million kilos is the number one destination. Moreover, Germany also paid the highest average price: 0.50 Euro per kilo.
Over the past year, Spain exported a total of 542.24 million kilos of watermelons worth 265.44 million Euro.
