Philippines: Export of agricultural products grows by 25% in 2013

According to the data of the Philippines Agricultural Bureau of Statistics, Philippine export of agricultural products in 2013 reached 6.32 billion USD, with an increase of 25.4% compared to the year before. Imports are down by 4.5%, amounting to 7.8 billion USD.

Coconut oil is still biggest and number 1 agricultural export product of the Philippines.

Although it has decreased by 8.7% in 2013, exports were still at 950 million USD. Other major agricultural exports of the Philippines are bananas, pineapple and pineapple products, and shredded coconut.
