Hamburg port processed 9.3% more cooling containers in 2013

The figures of the past year show once again that the port of Hamburg is an important junction for the overhaul of cooled goods within the international goods traffic. In 2013 a new record amount of around 618,000 shipping containers (in TEU) were loaded and unloaded in the port of Hamburg, reports the German website Fruchthandel.de.

The Port of Hamburg

This is an increase of 9.3% compared to the previous year, reports the port of Hamburg's marketing department. The east coast of South America is one of the strongest regions as far as the import of cooled goods through Hamburg is concerned. Fruit, meat, fish, vegetables and dairy products are the main transported goods.
