Fusion between Pfalzmarkt and OGM Maxdorf-Lambsheim

The merger document between Pfalzmarkt eG and OGM Maxdorf-Lambsheim was signed on Friday March 28 in the presence of countless high ranking representatives from the political and economic sectors, reports the German website Fruchthandel.de.

This finally brought the fusion between the two cooperations into force after multiple failed attempts. The two directors, Hans Trauth and dr. Markus Nöthen thanked the employees and all those involved for their support. "This is an historic event. With this our region is finally growing together and the two previously competing cooperations have come together to form this large fruit and vegetable cooperation in Germany," emphasised Trauth. The fusion means a considerable improvement for the producers and the sales, and a stronger position in the increasingly concentrated food trade. In November 2013 the two cooperations agreed after two years of collaboration, clearing the path.
