Citronex implements Sedex in Ecuador

As member of Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), Citronex undertook the Ethical Trade Audit over several plantations of its providers in March. The goal was now to provide the best practice reference framework for social and ethical issues for banana plantations with Global Gap.

With the help of an experienced auditor from SIPAS CR-PERU, together with members of Citronex, plantations were randomly selected to be audited. The results were very satisfactory and now Citronex, with their providers, will keep improving the work conditions and safety for banana plantation workers.

Citronex will be in Ecuador again next month to evaluate the progress.
