Nature Fresh Farms proud to announce “Non-GMO Project Verified”

Peter Quiring, President and Owner of Nature Fresh Farms Inc., is pleased to announce that our Leamington, Ontario location has been “Non-GMO Project Verified”. The project’s mission is to assist the public in making informed choices about whether or not to consume genetically modified foods.

The verification that all produce grown and harvested in our high tech greenhouses has not been genetically modified, includes our complete line of Sweet Bell Peppers, Tomatoes and Cucumbers as well as our speciality and snacking tomatoes.

Recent participation at a local consumer trade show in Ontario made it clear that consumers are more interested than ever, in where and how their fresh food is produced. The issue of Non-GMO produce was raised several times as we engaged in conversations at the trade show, which clearly indicated to us, that we needed to do more to inform the public about our own facilities. Greenhouse grown farming has many benefits and consumers want to learn more, so we believe that the Non-GMO verification process we have undergone will assist us in providing the consumer with a better understanding of our industry. Most importantly, Nature Fresh Farms is proud to have had our greenhouse facilities verified as a non-genetically modified produce growing environment.
