Duroc program to support schools and Ladies Circle project

Duroc, one of the leading Moroccan growers of cherry tomatoes, will fund the opening of 3 Kindergarten classes in public schools in the region of Marrakech and support the Ladies Circle project. Duroc is involved in education as a funding member of the Sanady Foundation specialized in afterschool academic support. Duroc actually covers the afterschool classes’ costs for 280 children in the Agadir Region. Duroc is part of Delassus Group.

The Ladies Circle, LCI is an international service organisation represented by approximately 13,000 members, in 36 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. The motto of LCI is “Friendship & Service”. Its members endeavour to make a difference to those less fortunate by supporting community projects and raising funds for sustainable projects. LC Morocco celebrate this year, its 1Oth anniversary.

Last year, LC Morocco started an innovative project called Madrassati Moustakbali: My school, my future. The idea is to set up kindergarten classes in the rural schools. Up to now, 10 classes are already functional and operational with more than 300 children from 3 to 5 years old. More classes are to be set up by September 2014. And Duroc will fund the opening of 3 classes.

Additionally, female representatives from Duroc, Zhor Bennani-Smires (Chief Executive) Fatiha Charrat (Sales & Marketing Director and LC member) and Imane Rincon (Sales Manager) are participating to the Ladies Circle‘s Caravan Rally, which will take place from April 2nd to April 5th 2014.
