Most products offered at the fair were meat and delicacies, along with a lot of prepared meals and catering products. The amount of fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and nuts were small, so they were located by the cheese and meat products. The fruit and vegetable traders were satisfied with the fair and the quality of the visitors. They presented their products with passion and were happy to let them be tasted.

Golden Tavola
At the end of January, judging for the Golden Tavola competition took place. The Golden Tavola is a prestigious contest between exhibitors at the Tavola and is awarded to the best and most innovative new product at the fair. With around 95 entrants, contestants showed that innovation and new products sit high on the agenda. The jury were unanimous: they were impressed with the very high quality of contestants. The winner of the Golden Tavola Retail 2014 were 'rain drops' from Enrico.

These sweet and spicy mini peppers in the shape of a water drop originate in the Amazon rainforest of Peru. The special vegetable is unique in form, taste, colour and versatility. The droplets can be used in salads, on pizza's, in pasta's and even as a dessert. 'Rain drops' can also be served separately with an aperitif.
