The Carrefour group will expand its franchise network in Greece, where it operates under the name of its local partner Marinopoulos, after the latter signed a deal with the company Karipidis Bros, which runs the chain Arvanitides, by which its 149 supermarkets will become franchises of the French group.
All 149 Arvanitides supermarkets will start operating under the names Carrefour Marinopoulos and Carrefour Express, and in addition to their usual range, they will also offer Carrefour's branded products.
