FA.MO.S.A. srl (FArm MOnitoring Systems for Agriculture) is a company that combines technology and software with common agricultural practices and produce management. Famosa srl enables operators to check physiological, environmental and qualitative parameters of fruit in real-time.
Partners Elisa Bonora and Massimo Noferini (in the photo) have made available the experience they gained at the Agricultural Science Department of the University of Bologna. Massimo Noferini is also one of the inventors of the DA-Meter and the Kiwi-Meter.
The objective is to monitor the environmental parameters in fields (water content, air temperature, rainfall, gas exchange) and in post-harvesting (temperature of the units, containers) as well as physiological (ripening, growth, internal temperature, shelf-life) and qualitative (soluble solid content, titratable acidity, firmness, etc.) parameters.
