Germany: Agrar wants to expand

After a good start to the year with new framework agreements and orders at the trade fairs Fruit Logistica and BioFach, KTG Agrar determined its expansion forecast for the medium term: the company aims to expand the turnover of its trading company to more than 300 million Euro, reports the German website Proplanta.de.

All three sectors, agriculture, food and energy, will contribute to the expansion. The EBIT margin will be stable at more than twelve percent. Consistent with this the agriculture company is expecting an operative result of more then 36 million Euro.

"We have invested a lot in crop lands, bio gas plants and food production since 2012 to create economical benefits and not be dependent on the fluctuation in the agricultural exchange market. This investment phase, where we have formed a lot of hidden reserves, is now almost completed and would not have been possible without the planning security of the loan finance," said Siegfried Hofreiter, CEO of KTG Agrar SE. "We will use our potential to the fullest, bring in the harvest and reduce our debts graduate in the years to come."
