FCE Export SAC ready for Peruvian avocado season
According general manager Ms. Diana Sajami, the outlook for production, measured over the whole season, indicates that the production will be higher than last year. However, the larger volumes is expected to be occurring in the later producing areas. For the moment, early production areas are not expected to have an increase in production, but are expected to have higher demand.
There is a increasing demand from other areas in the world besides Europe for the Peruvian avocado. The USA will take more, but Chile will also be a bigger client.
Countries in Asia including Japan are knocking on the door as well.
According to Ms. Sajami, requests for green skinned varieties are decreasing, due to the growing demand from retail chains for the Hass avocado. As a result, FCE Export
will concentrate mainly on the HASS variety packed under their own brand: "Daleska".
The general quality in the earlier areas looks fine, and dry matter tests are promising. Every lot of product coming from the fields is tested by the specialized packing facility of Agrihusa for the dry matter percentage, in order to make sure only mature fruit will be exported.
FCE Export SAC only works with GlobalGap certified growers and their packing facility is BRC certified.
