"Online machinery auction Pinguin big success"

The past 10 days visitors to AGF.nl and FreshPlaza.com couldn't avoid it: the online auction of Industrial Auctions of which a big part of the machine collection was from vegetable processor Pinguin in Belgium (Langemark) because of a reorganisation. John van Berlo of Industrial Auctions said it was an amazing day. "We've been receiving calls the whole day. We've spoken with buyers from all over the world."

"We had a large number of unique visitors to the website on Wednesday and because of that the auction was a big success. Different multinationals were part of the buyers and almost the whole inventory was sold. Pinguin was very pleased with the auction. They didn't expect to bring such a number of people together on one day," explains John, enthusiastic.

One of the eye-catchers of the auction was a freezing tunnel from 2007, but beyond the auction there were many specific machines for the food industry such as: screw conveyors, cutting machines, blanchers, multihead weighers, metal detectors, packing machines, tray sealers, washing machines, de-stoners, sifters, etc.

This is not the first time that Industrial Auctions has arranged an auction for the fresh produce sector, they also arranged the auction of machines and inventory for vegetable processor Ploegmakers in the Netherlands (Veghel). The auction at Pinguin was mainly unique, because of a large number of lots and the diversity of the machines.
