Successful Fruit Logistica for Mexico

53 producers and agribusinesses backed by ASERCA attended the event that was held between February 5 and 7 in the city of Berlin, Germany.

Products such as fresh avocado, asparagus, garlic, peppers, ataulfo, mango, habanero chile, chickpeas, limes, grapes, grapefruit, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, bananas, herbs, onions and dried fruits, which were of interest to European buyers, were presented in the Mexican Pavilion, which was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and the Agricultural Ministry of Mexico in Europe.

Mexican entrepreneurs had more than 500 business meetings with importers, marketers and distributors of fresh produce from different regions of the world.

There was a full range of raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, products with a high demand in the European market, at the Mexican Pavilion.

The Fruit Logistica is the largest fruit and vegetables fair in Europe. This year's edition had more than 2,600 exhibitors and was visited by over 60,000 visitors from 140 countries.

The opening of the Mexican Pavilion in Fruit Logistica 2014 was attended by Mexico's ambassador in Germany, Patricia Espinosa, and the ambassadors of the countries of the Pacific Alliance: Peru, Jose Antonio Meyer, Chile, Jorge O'Ryen Shutz, and Colombia, José Maldonado Mayor; as well as Jorge Rueda Sousa, SAGARPA's representative for Europe.
