New Zealand company JP Exports has long been involved in the export of the country's fresh produce. These days, the company exports most of the products available from New Zealand.JP Exports has been attending Asia Fruit Logistica since it began, and exhibited in 2011 and will do so again this year. Lesley Shield, General Manager at JP Exports, explains why they are going back this year, "Asia Fruit Logistica is a great way in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere for JP Exports to meet our existing customers, reach new customers, and to promote the New Zealand product we export."
"This year we are promoting our whole company as apart from our export business, our sister company Fresh Direct Ltd. is a strong importer of produce from all over the world into New Zealand and has wholesale markets distributing throughout the country. The group is also heavily involved with trading and marketing fresh organics and floral - so we’re looking forward to taking the opportunity to learn and grow in all areas." 
The company's export products include – avocados, apples, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, persimmons, peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, onions, potatoes, lemons. The product exported varies market to market due to quarantine/phyto restrictions and demand, but the markets are mainly Australia, the Pacific Islands and the Pacific Rim focussed heavily on Asia.
JP Exporters also have a wide range of organics and floral which they will also promote at the event. As well as looking for new export markets the company is also keen to find additional sources of supply for importing back to New Zealand.
