Vertical climbing airbag for box storage

The patented Mooij Climbing Airbag is the latest innovation for box storage from Mooij Agro. This stand-alone, inflatable, vertical climbing airbag is designed for easily and quickly sealing ducts in box storage for crops. This product was also developed out of a need from the market because people were looking for a simple and safe solution for vertically sealing ducts. Up till now, two or more workers were needed to place the vertical airbags, This doesn’t just take a lot of manpower and time, but people also often have to work at an unsafe height. The Mooij Climbing Airbag was designed in such a way that it can be easily and quickly installed and removed by one person, from the ground.

The existing vertical airbags need to be mounted onto the boxes or the horizontal airbags at a height. This newly developed stand-alone Climbing Airbag is filled with air from the ground until the desired height has been reached, and the duct is completely sealed. When a number of stacks of boxes needs to be removed, the Climbing Airbag is simply deflated, and it can easily be moved to a new position, where it can then be re-inflated again. All this in just a few precious minutes. 

With the development of this new product, it was most important to choose an extremely solid and durable material, which should also be flexible and manageable. After all, it should be possible to regularly inflate and deflate the Climbing Airbag, without it being damaged due to, for example, splinters from the wooden boxes. To that end, an ingeniously designed guided item is attached to the inside of the Climbing Airbag, which ensures that the Climbing Airbag is inflated from within, and subsequently rolled up inwards as well.
