"Leo Pels: "Supply is 9-12 days behind compared to last year"

Good demand for Spanish citrus

The Spanish citrus season has started again at Leo Pels Import. As usual, Leo is once again receiving citrus from Ruleta and Bonaparte. "The supply is around 9 to 12 days later than last year. It's been warm in Spain for a long time, but now the temperatures are starting to go down. We expect around the same volumes as last year."

At the moment Leo has Clausellina's and the first Clementines and Navelina's are expected on the 12th of November. "We certainly can't complain about the current market situation. The demand is good, the prices are between 13.25 and 13.75 Euro and the quality is truly fantastic. I can complain about the crisis, but I've been in a crisis for forty years," Leo concludes.
